Scott Hansen is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Fulwider Patton LLP. His practice includes domestic and international patent and trademark strategy, prosecution, opinions, licensing, ip due diligence, trade secret, digital media, Internet law and right of privacy issues. He has litigated intellectual property matters in several states. Scott works in a range of technologies extending from medical devices to the entertainment industry to the Internet. Scott's approach is pragmatic, emphasizing good business sense. He strives to be efficient, responsive, and cost-effective. Major corporations, investors, high-profile inventors, start-up companies, and many excellent businesses with a need for top-flight intellectual property work have sought his counsel. Scott received his B.S. with majors in Political Science and Applied Mechanics from the University of California, San Diego in 1985. He earned an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1987, and graduated cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law in 1992. Scott is a past recipient of a Volunteer of the Year award from the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law for his extensive pro bono work on behalf of low-income clients in Los Angeles. He has served as an officer on the Barristers Board of Directors of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, and on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association. |
